JOB PURPOSE:

• As a Red Hat JBoss Application Server Administrator, resource will be responsible for the installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Red Hat JBoss Application Server environments. The resource will collaborate with development teams, system architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliable and secure operation of enterprise applications hosted on JBoss

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Installation and Configuration: Install and configure Red Hat JBoss Application Server software according to industry best practices and security guidelines. Customize server configurations to meet the requirements of enterprise applications.
2. Environment Management: Manage JBoss Application Server environments across multiple stages of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, staging, and production. Monitor system performance and resource usage, and optimize configurations as needed.
3. Application Deployment: Deploy enterprise applications onto JBoss Application Server instances using deployment tools and automation scripts. Coordinate with development teams to ensure smooth application deployment and compatibility with server configurations.
4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues related to JBoss Application Server configuration, performance, and connectivity. Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and vendors to troubleshoot complex problems.
5. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and access controls to protect JBoss Application Server instances from security threats and unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Backup and Recovery: Establish backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and configurations stored on JBoss Application Server instances. Test and validate backup procedures regularly to ensure data integrity and availability.
7. Patch Management: Apply software patches, updates, and fixes to JBoss Application Server installations in a timely manner. Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimize downtime and service disruptions.

• IBM WebSphere Application Server 9x
• IBM WebSphere Liberty
• IBM App Connect
• IBM MQ
• Redhat JBoss application server
• Having more than 5 years of relevant experience with (preferably) 3 years of experience in banking environment
• Understanding of banking business areas
• Must have thorough understanding and experience of SDLC / project life cycle of development, implementation and upgrade projects.

• Must have experience working on agile projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and stretch to meet timelines
• IBM Certification on WebSphere Application Server
• JBoss Application Server certification

Minimum Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years experience in banking with at least three years in a similar capacity 

Academic qualification:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Communication Engineering or any equivalent training

- Bachelor of Computer Science or any equivalent training

- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or any equivalent training

Language Skills:

•  Strong in both oral and written : Arabic & English.
