JOB PURPOSE:

• The incumbents role is to perform database administration & management, performance monitoring, capacity and availability management.
  

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Routine monitoring and health checks
• Database Backup and recovery
• Creation and maintenance of databases
• Replication monitoring and configuration
• Database security administration
• Database installations, migrations, and upgrades
• Patch management
• Query optimization
• Scripts execution
• Debug and troubleshooting
• Maintain stored procedures and triggers
• Implementing policies
• DR planning in collaboration with related IT team
• Vendor management
• Supporting other team members for database related activities

KEY SKILLS  

Sound knowledge on the following database and related technologies:

• Oracle, SQL, and PotgreSQL databases.
• Oracle Data performance tuning, Guard, RMAN, RAC, Grid, Cluster, etc.
• SQL and PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, backup and recovery, etc.
• Certifications in Oracle and SQL is essential, PostgreSQL will be an added advantage

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience in operations of database management.
• Banking domain is preferred.
• Consultants are not required to submit their profiles.

Language Skills:

•  Strong in both oral and written : English and Arabic.
